Yes it is true! Lindsey posed as Merilyn Monroe in NY magazine...

Not sure what the NY magazine wanted to achieve by deliberately making the shoot identical to the one that Merilyn Monroe did few decades back. They even hired the same photographer etc. Regardless of Lindsey Lohan's looks, surely they cannot compare here to Merilyn Monroe.

I did a search for more pics of this shoot and I found a "comparison picture" between Merilyn and Lindsay Lohan in the same pose !!! The comparison comments are all yours:P

Marilyn "may" have died of an overdose, but Lindsay "looks" like a crack-head in these knockoff pics. I'm not a big fan of Lindsey, but the photographer did a good job making her look bad in the pics.

No, Lindsey was not the best person to recreate the Merilyn pictures. If you have never seen the Merilyn photos then you may say Lindsay looks nice, but compared with Merilyn then things change. Lindsey does not have the style or charm needed. I blame the various abuses, she was better before.

Just to clarify my opinion, I think these particular pics of Lindsey are poor at best, not even considering the fact that they are supposed to simulate the Marilyn Monroe pics. Lindsay is an above average looking woman and deserved a better photoshoot that this.
