Kyle did some movie reviews today, so I thought I'd post this for ya'll. I wrote this earlier today and posted it on another site, and was pondering whether to post this here or not, but when I saw Kyle's movie reviews, I decided to.

I just watched "Remember the Daze." It is a party movie, but is much more realistic than "Superbad" and "American Pie." Plus it has Alexa Vega, who is one of the cutest girls in movies these days. I enjoyed the movie, but all the high school kids did was drink, do shrooms, and party. And it is all about the graduating class of 2000, so the whole movie takes place in the fall of 1999. (That was my graduating class too, but my life wasn't like these kids, thank god!). It makes me not want to have kids and have them become teenagers because these kids were out of control with no consequences.

There were a lot of (semi) familiar faces in this movie too:

Alexa Vega (Spy Kids, Sleepover, Walkout, State's Evidence)
Leighton Meester (Surface, Gossip Girl)
Douglas Smith (Joan of Arcadia, Sleepover, State's Evidence)
Aaron Himelstein (Friedman on Joan of Arcadia)
Chris Marquette (Adam on Joan of Arcadia)
Michael Welch (Luke on Joan of Arcadia)
Amber Heard (North Country, Alpha Dog, Hidden Palms)
Lyndsy Fonseca (The daughter on How I Met Yo Mama, Housewives, Boston Public)
Amber Heard (North Country, Alpha Dog, Hidden Palms)
Wesley Jonathan (Gary on What I Like About You)
Brie Larson (Sleepover, Hoot)
Ed Wagenseller (Surface)
David Temple (Surface)

So, they used a lot of the regulars from Joan of Arcadia (on purpose), a lot of people from other Alexa Vega movies ((Sleepover, State's Evidence) (also on purpose)), and a lot of people that guested on Surface.

In 2004, Alexa Vega was 16 and played a freshman in the movie Sleepover. In 2008 she is now 19 and she still plays a freshman in Daze. Most of the people in this movie are 20+ and playing high school students. That seems typical these days, apparently. If you can get past that, and if you like High School party movies with hot chicks and not too deep of a plot, see this movie. It bypasses the theaters and goes straight to video in June. I had a promotional copy.

("Remember the Daze," rated R for profanity, drug use, drinking, and sexual references, all involving teens)

(Thanks for the inspiration, Kyle.)

hmmmmm, straight to video...

home of the classics...

I agree on the 20's playing teens. That's pretty dumb whenever it's done, IMHO

That's USUALLY done, these days. Linda Cardelini was 25 when she was a sophomore on Freaks and Geeks.
