1.
What is your heritage?
I'm half Syrian (that's my dad) and the other half is a
mix of Cherokee, German, Irish and English . just to name
a few. I guess you could say that my mom is a mutt. But
I love her to death!
2.
Do you really have an accent?
Not a Czechoslovakian accent. I used to have a southern
accent, but I lost that years ago.
3.
Do you ever go back to Waco?
Not really. My parents live in Florida now - so I don't
have much of a reason to go back. Although, I do have a
ton of relatives there. So I'm sure I'll go back for special
occasions.
4.
Were you in Waco during the whole "cult" thing?
Yes and no. I was technically living in Dallas at the time,
but I was driving to Waco on the weekends to see my family.
5.
What do you like to do for fun?
Well, I have six dogs, so I like to play with them and take
them to the park. Sometimes I go hiking and take a dog or
two with me. I also like to do yoga, go to the gym, rollerblade
and most of all just stay home with my boyfriend and relax.
Oh - I also love TV more than any person should be allowed.
6.
Do you live in a house or an apartment?
I bought a house last year.
7.
Who do you live with?
My boyfriend . sorry guys!
8.
Were you popular in high school?
I wish! I had friends in high school (I wasn't a complete
loser!), but in the realm of "popular" I was not in the
cool clique of girls.
9.
Have you always been this pretty?
Oh my God, NO!!! I was a funny looking little girl. When
I was in school I had a hard time getting a boyfriend. So
any of you girls who feel unattractive now, don't worry..I
still feel funny looking!
10.
How do you become an actress or a model?
Hard work!! More than anything just trying your hardest
is the biggest step. I know so many people who say they
want to be an actress or model and then do nothing about
it. One in a million people get "discovered" on a street
corner, so pursuing your dream by getting head shots taken,
finding an agent and taking acting classes are very important
things you can do.
11.
What is the next project you are planning to work on?
Good question! I haven't decided yet. I've been reading
a ton of scripts lately. There are so many factors involved
- it's not an easy decision. And there are soooo many scripts
out there! But I'll let you know as soon as I do!
12.
Who watched your dogs for you while you were in Vancouver?
Well, I took one of them with me. I took my smallest dog
- Six Buttons. She was the easiest to travel with, and she
is a loner. She never misses the other dogs and just prefers
to be on her own. As for the rest of the dogs...in the beginning
Joe watched them. Then when he had to go to Boston to work,
we have some neighbors that come over and watch them. They
are great with the dogs and love to do it!
13.
Why is your dog named Six Buttons?
Well, "Six" because she's our 6th dog...and when we first
got her she would put her butt on everything. When we were
introducing her to the other dogs, she would run around
them and stick her butt in their face. It was the strangest
thing ever! But funny! So that's where the "Buttons" came
from. Basically I came home one day and Joe said that if
we were going to keep this dog (because we found her on
the street) we had to name her "Six Buttons"!
14.
What is the name of your latest film?
Well, it was called,"Scream If You Know What I Did Last
Halloween"...but...right now they're calling it,"Scary Movie".
This is because the original name of "Scream" was "Scary
Movie".
15.
Who have you most enjoyed working with?
The most exciting person that I have worked with has to
be Ron Howard. This may sound strange, but I worked with
him on this internet project he directed me on...unfortunately,
because he was tied up the day I was shooting, I didn't
work with him face to face. Just talking to him over the
phone was amazing to me!!
16.
Would you rather live in New York or Los Angeles?
I would actually rather live in Los Angeles! I love LA!
I love having the convenience of my car and having a house.
It is most like what I grew up with, which is what I think's
appealing to me. But don't get me wrong...I like New York.
But the cab drivers there make me nauseous!
17.
Who do you most want to work with?
I would love to work with Stephen Spielberg and Michelle
Pfeiffer.
18.
Who has influenced you the most?
By far, the person who has been the most influence in my
career as well as my personal life is my fiancée Joe Reitman!
He is the smartest person I know and I trust him completely.
19.
What do you think of your nomination for an MTV award?
My nomination for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance was
a complete surprise and shock! The MTV Movie awards were
my first big award show, and to be nominated there as well
was a dream.
20.
What is your favorite role so far?
So far my favorite role has to be Nadia! That's why I would
love the opportunity to play her again.
21.
What kind of roles do you like best?
I love all roles! Just working is what I love most. I want
to play as many different types of roles as I can during
my lifetime.
22.
Future projects?
I'm starting work at the beginning of June on a project
called "Tomcats". It's a romantic comedy and I play a vice
cop in the film.
23.
What has been the most surprising thing about the movie
business?
I think that the most surprising thing would be that the
best actor doesn't always get the job and just because you're
working doesn't mean you're talented.
24.
What do you think about maybe winning an Oscar someday?
I think I'm not going to jinks anything!
25.
What is the coolest thing about the business?
The coolest thing would be the free stuff! :) just kidding!
I think one of the coolest things is having a chance to
reach out and connect with others. The fact that you take
the time to ask me questions, and others are curious to
what I think is amazing. I like being a part of something
that brings a lot of people closer together. for example,
folks saying "More, more you bad boy!" then having a good
laugh, and I happen to be the first person to have said
it....THAT is cool.
